In a shared house or bedroom, fan roar at midnight is a real problem. Quiet on the desktop and a bit of whoosh in heavy games is normal. Constant screaming on the menu screen is not.
Noise comes from case fans, the CPU cooler and the GPU. Dust, poor airflow and aggressive fan curves make it worse. A clean, well-cooled system is usually quieter than a bargain tower stuffed with cheap fans.
If noise matters, say so in the message. We will steer you toward calmer builds and away from pure show-off RGB boxes that sound like a hairdryer.
